Time and Times
“There’s an opportune time to do things, a right time for everything on the earth: A right time for birth and another for death, A right time to plant and another to reap.” The list goes on and is geared, tailored for us all and the times, different for each. Some early, some late. “A right time to cry and another to laugh, A right time to lament and another to cheer,” a right time to stay and another to move, to travel or not, “to hold on and another to let go,” to shut up and another to speak up,” engage or withdraw, question, study, ponder, resolve, work or rest, unto peace.
Father, thank You for Your every thought of us, a plan for every step, every phase of our lives, all to be pleasing to You. Sensitize us to Your Spirit’s pace. “Teach us with Your eyes, to be and do what You want, You’ve already made it plain how to live, what to do, what is fair and just to our neighbor, compassionate and loyal in our love, and not taking ourselves too seriously— taking You seriously,” as preeminent, sovereign, accessed through the credentials of Your only Son. Time and times.
