Many today seem to not belong, not that they are so wired, rather, it’s an inside tape that plays.  It’s not a new thing, as I recall the Beatles’ lyrics, “all the lonely people.”  AI, be it Apple intelligence or artificial intelligence, we now have an additional inside voice, a certain belonging; and yet, there are innocent places that will turn to be the wrong place at the wrong time.
“This letter is from Paul, Silas, and Timothy.”  The same letter and others are welcomingly meant for us as well, as you can well imagine all that it took to get these to us.  “We are writing to the church in Thessalonica,” a city in northern Greece.  A letter that was welcomed, even as we would welcomingly read its contents.  “We are writing to you who belong to God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ;” a message of great importance, proclaiming a reminder that we, through a simple faith in Jesus, belong first to our adopting Father in Heaven.
Father, thank You for creating us to belong, first to Yourself as children.  And children not for a season as we come and go, but forever, “to all who believed Him and accepted Him.”
As the salutation of the letter concludes, “may God give you grace and peace,” in belonging, even as Jesus welcomed the children, exemplifying you and me.
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬, John‬ ‭1‬:‭12‬, Luke 18:16 NLT‬‬ ‬‬
