I’ve heard both you and me say it, “I’m good.”  But what does that mean?  Does it mean yes or no or both?  I might have been knocked off of my horse, so to speak, or had the “wind” knocked out of me, but I’m ok, we would say.  Or we would say, “I’m good,” meaning we don’t want any attention.  If we’re saying “I’m good “ as a state of righteousness, then on whose dime, mine?
One active Biblical writer stated frankly, “I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith (trust) in Christ.  For God’s way of making us right with Himself depends on faith.”  This said, is my goodness based on my judgement, or on the judgement of the one Who provided the law, being God Himself?  In that case, I’m not good. But I am good, committing my trust for that good to Jesus and through His good.
“I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised Him from the dead,” the writer continued.  “I want to suffer with Him, sharing in His death, so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead! I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me.” In that, trusting Jesus, I’m good! (according to God’s words, definition, and plan).
“The LORD replied, “I will personally go with you, Moses, and I will give you rest—everything will be fine for you.””  O Father, and therein we can rest, trusting relationally, Your good.
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭9‬-‭12‬, Exodus‬ ‭33‬:‭14, Mark 10:18 NLT‬‬ ‬‬
