Be it a simple decision to use a basic cookie recipe, adding chocolate chips, or the drafting the beginning of a nation, there is a construct, even a constitution that must follow said motive.  One’s motive will dictate that construct.  For the cookies, the motive is love.  To read our own national Constitution reveals the motive, having come from being taxed and repressed without representation, a motive of freedom.
“So from that time on, the Jewish leaders began to plot Jesus’ death.”  What was the motive?  Jesus had raised Lazarus from his death, brought him back to life, after four days.  Some chose to believe Jesus to be the awaited Messiah, but would that change the political construct, being under the rule of the Roman occupiers?  After all, they tolerated the Jews and their religious construct.  They calculated Jesus would be the demise of their religious-political existence!  But how could they proceed down the path of murder, countering the very construct of the Law given by God to their forefathers?!  Job of old said, “Who can bring purity out of an impure person? No one!”
And yet, Father, it was Your motive of love to do just that, through a construct that we are unable to perform for ourselves, to purge our impurity by the purity of Your very Son.  “My sins would be sealed in a pouch, and You would cover my guilt.” Thank You for Your lovingkindness, faithfully orchestrated through Your Son.  May we trust and obey, as proof of our love, and keep Your praises always on our lips.
‭‭John‬ ‭11‬:‭53, Job 14:4, ‬‬17‬, Lamentations 3:22-23, John 14:21, Psalm 34:1 NLT‬‬
