One might disagree, but rest is a vital component of life, and for all aspects of living; no different from the other balance-basics of food and exercise or movement.  Sleep is likewise part of this balance, but only a component of rest.
Saying through His king, David, God calls us out, “Today, if you hear God’s voice, don’t harden your hearts;” meaning, listen and rest, trusting in Him; trusting instead of ignoring and warring with Him. Is this not our approach when we are afraid, being angry or ignoring or cowering?
Continuing, it is written, “For we do not have a high priest unable to empathize with our weaknesses; since in every respect Jesus was tempted just as we are, the only difference being that He did not sin.”
Father, thank You for revealing Your Son as Your own self, and truly providing Him as “the way, the truth, and the life,” the High Priest who enables us to come to You, with confidence.
Get out in front of your reactive emotions and through Christ, “Let us confidently approach the throne from which God gives grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace in our time of need.”  The result is rest; expectantly trusting Father, Son, and Spirit, in the relationship He offers.
Hebrews ‭4‬:‭7‬, ‭15‬-‭16, 2:15, John 14:6 ‭CJB
