How are your eyes?  Protect them!  They, together, are all that we have in order to see; to read and learn, to navigate the roads, to see creation and one another!  But we can’t always see what we’re trying to see, due to distance, focus, murkiness, dust storms, darkness verses light.  Can we see through the river waters?  Maybe only if it’s an Alpine stream, pure.

Jesus told the crowd, ““You’re blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right.  Pure.  Then you can see God in the outside world.”  Have you ever not noticed something until you do?  Over and again He tells us to have eyes that look to see.

Father, “Open our eyes, that we may see Wondrous things from Your law; a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.”  It is Your Word and words that point out our impurities, our discolorations, our dimness, as peering through a midst, and not understanding.  Help and heal us to see our inside as You see; and lead us to see You, Your Son, pure, face to face, with “the spirit of wisdom and revelation, the eyes of our understanding being enlightened.”

Matthew 5:8, Psalms 119:18, 105, 139:25,  I Corinthians 13:12, Ephesians 1:17-18, John 12:40 MSG/NKJV
