Friendship Baptist Church is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following is a brief bio of our our pastor and his qualifications for ministry.
Dr Richard Edds
Senior Pastor
Dr Richard Edds was appointed to serve as Friendship Baptist Church's Senior Pastor 16 July 2023.
The attributes that best describe Pastor Richard as a pastor are Scripture-based preaching, sharing God's message to all walks of life, and simply conveying "following Jesus" through small community groups. He has expressed a burning desire to lead a church like Friendship Baptist Church where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ.
He graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary [Master of Divinity] and Luther Rice Seminary [Doctor of Ministry].
Richard and Susan have three grown children.
