Some might call a new thought a paradigm shift if it moves us, the way that we might look at a matter, being different from what we might call our habit or tradition; but summarily, it’s a perspective. Hopefully we grow in understanding week by month. This is better than atrophy!
Take on one thought from Jesus, ““You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope.” If He would have left us hanging there, it would have made zero sense! But look again for His real point of order, His reasoning, “With less of you there is more of God and His rule.” Said differently, “My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness.”
Father, in true confession, we’re so full of ourselves, so many things supposedly swarming around us; and yet, when we pull back, we wonder as the Psalmist, “Why do You bother with us? Why take a second look our way?” The answer You have purposefully revealed, is Your enduring and ever compassionate love, undeserved. Grow our present perspective to be less centric, to understand more; less about us, more about You and Your kingdom.
