Spring and fall, life and death, war and peace. Sweet and sour, good, righteous, light, virtuous, and bad, evil, dark, vile. Back and forth, on and off, open and closed, hard-hearted and soft, like putty in the hand of the artisan. Getting and giving, distant, far and near, close, wealth and poverty, sickness, pain and healing; yelling, barking, whispering. Ignoring and denying, yet provisioned with belief, faith and trust. Grudge and forgive, even mood swings from sad to glad or grumpy, even mad; caring and careless, needy, yet defiant; do you see yourself, yet?
The dualities of turns and tidbits seem endless, temporal and eternal, yes and no, hot, cold, or lukewarm, love and hate with attitudes and actions, east and west, "to be or not to be," is it really the question? So comes the Son to save, rescue from the Fall, pride to humility and service to His kingdom. "Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord's work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord,” free or bound, blind but now seeing, though dimly.
Father in Heaven, thank You for these turns and tidbits, wanderings through the night; darkness fleeing from the morning light; Your Son enthroned, this son adopted; renewed by the second birth, content in Your presence while the first birth decays; Your Spirit divine and refining this spirit to be expectant, satisfied, content, unto seeing You and Your Son, face to face.
1 Corinthians 15:58, 13:12, Revelation 3:20, Psalm 62:5, 17:15 MSG/CSB/KJV
